    To Colleen’s Mom,

I can assure you that hers is indeed the loveliest yard on the block. :)

Yours must be the loveliest yard on the block… what gorgeous blossoms! We need to dry out a little here before I can get into the garden as it was a such a wet snow. But, there are some tulips, primrose hyacinth and the iris, hosta a nd lily of the valley are stirring. Spring is sprung!

All these blossoms at once? And what looks like a Colorado blue sky? What a visual treat! It’s good to have birthdays — and even better to be remembered on them.
I was thinking of your and Greg’s trip to NYC when we met someone for dinner in the West Village Sunday night after the workshop was over. Did you get into that area, west of Washington Square Park? It’s all so amazing.
You’ve inspired me to go work in the back yard now. The beds here are wet from yesterday’s snow. Thanks for the birthday wishes.
    Love, Martha
